April 2020 – Bulletin

Happy Spring Everyone. I hope everyone is safe and healthy. It is surely a trying time for all, and we are doing our best here to keep our team safe and healthy as well. To err on the side of caution, we have cut down on any preventative service and non-urgent installation work. We are still available for service as needed, while practicing social distancing at the same time. Out of respect for you and your fami-ly’s safety, as well as that of our employees, we are asking that you give us direct ac-cess to your heating system. This means open a bulkhead or basement door, so we can come and go without disturbing you and being in your living space. You have all been so gracious and very respectful of our practices, and we want to say a huge thank you for that! Your oil deliveries will still keep coming on time and there will be no disruption in that. We will continue to work this way until it is safe to go back to normal, but we don’t know any more than you do, when that will be.

When all of this is over, I know this community will come back stronger and kinder than ever. A crisis like this brings out the best in people and we will all learn to ad-just to the new way of life. In the meantime, continue to follow the rules of social distancing and staying home. It’s the only way this virus will leave us alone. I’m sure everyone knows a healthcare professional or even has one in their family. Heed their advice and do what they say because they are literally putting their and their families’ health and well being on the line for us. To my wife, and all healthcare professionals out there, thank you for all you are doing…You are heroic.

IMPORTANT UPDATES FOR OUR MONTHLY BUDGET CUSTOMERS

There are only 3 more regular budget billings left this season. At this time, we’d like to remind you to pay attention to the balance that you may have remaining on your account and plan accordingly. The balance is the sum of your oil deliveries less any budget payments you have made thus far. While we have made adjustments for some of you, I’m sure you can appreciate the difficulty in predicting who’s going to need deliveries 3 or 4 months out. Ideally, the goal is to come as close to -0- as possible as of June 30. Also, please keep in mind that any balance remaining after the June 2020 budget payment is due in full, by July 30, 2020. Thank you.

BUYING OR SELLING A HOME? LET US HELP

These days, every edge helps when you want to sell a home. Potential buyers need to feel comfortable and secure with their purchase. Documents can turn promises into trust. Call us when your home is going on the market and these are some of the things we can do:

  • We can take away any doubts about the future performance of your heating system. Our service contracts are available to the buyer, upon becoming a customer.
  • We can come and measure the oil in your tank so you have the full value of the oil at the time of your closing.
  • We can work with you to schedule deliveries between contract and your day of closing.
  • If you or a friend are buying a home in our delivery area, we will do a no cost inspection of the heating and air conditioning system for you.
  • If you have moved to a new oil-heated home in our service area, we can make the adjustment easier by coming to your home and showing you how the heating and cooling systems work.
  • We can always work directly with the Realtor to make things easier on you.
  • When you are planning to move, plan on us. We are here to help you.

Now is the time for a “Spring Tune-Up” of your home Central Air Conditioning System.

A thorough inspection, cleaning of air filters, and cleaning of the outside condenser is important to keep your system running efficiently. Call us today at 781-834-8831 to set up a convenient appointment.

APRIL 12th HAPPY EASTER

Think About It…

Don’t tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.

Notes from our Service Department:

We try hard to reach you and schedule the annual tune up of your heating system. However, we do not always have the best contact for you. Many of you have given us a cell phone number or a work number to reach you during the day. This helps us in contacting you to schedule a convenient time for you. If you have new contact information, please note it on your next payment and we will make the changes on your account. If email works best for you, you can reach us at oil@randhandy.com and include any updated information on that also. You can also update info through our website. Thanks again for your help and we look forward to speaking with you.
