We are excited to announce news regarding the merger of the two premier Heating Oil/HVAC Companies on the South Shore, Rand-Handy and Anderson Fuel. Our two companies have combined forces to create a local company with over 160 years of collective home heating and cooling service/installation expertise.
In reality, the groundwork for this merger was originally discussed back in the 1970’s & 80’s by Arthur Anderson and Ken Rand. Arthur and Ken were friends for 50+ years and often considered the possibility of creating a combined company built on the principles of exemplary service and customer-first attitude. Arthur and Ken are sadly no longer with us, but both companies are led by 3rd and 4th generation family members that subscribe to the same principles. We know that both would be immensely proud that this merger has finally happened.
What does this mean for you? It is our goal to make sure this merger is as seamless as possible – so the only change for you is that you may see a red Anderson Fuel delivery truck/service van in your driveway, an Anderson Fuel email in your inbox, or the Anderson Fuel phone number in your contacts. Everything else will stay the same. Your oil price and discounts will stay exactly the same. Your service plan price and coverage will stay exactly the same. We use the same software system – so your bills and budget statements will look the same. The friendly voice on the other end of the phone will remain the same. Ultimately, from an operational and customer service standpoint – everything will be exactly the same. There are other benefits that Anderson Fuel offers, which will be sent out in the coming months.
